Recently Funded Artificial Intelligence Project Gets Official Recognition from German Federal Ministry

Earlier this month, Industrial Solar GmbH, a subsidiary of CISH, received €310,000 to participate in a €3 million Artificial Intelligence (AI) development project as part of a research and development consortium. Now the company and its partners have been officially recognized for their efforts.

Shortly after the project was funded, Industrial Solar received an official certificate of recognition from the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection. The certificate confirms that Industrial Solar’s contribution is officially recognized and that the selection process for the funding awards was highly competitive for innovative AI applications for climate protection. The project, titled AI-Methoden für die autarke und selbstoptimierende solare Energieerzeugung (IA methods for self-sufficient and self-optimizing solar power generation), is one of the 28 projects funded.
By financing AuSeSol-AI, the German Federal Ministry aims to advance AI applications for climate protection. Selection criteria included a high level of practical relevance, transdisciplinary teams, collaboration between science and industry, and ideas that compete to meet the International Climate Initiative’s principle of “good ideas that can save the future”. Industrial Solar met these criteria together with important academic partners (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt eV, Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Technische Universität München) and industry (Concentrating Solar Power España SL and fortiss GmbH).
Obtaining this official certificate of recognition is a driving force for Industrial Solar. This shows that the company is not only up to date with the latest developments in the search for innovative solutions to combat climate change, but has also made the correct strategic decision by placing greater emphasis on Germany.
