The military has set up a quantum computing laboratory and an artificial intelligence (AI) center at a military engineering institute at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh.
The two centers will conduct extensive research on the development of transformative technologies for use by the armed forces.
“The military, with the support of the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), recently established the Quantum Lab at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow to lead research and training in this key developing area,” said the Ministry of Defense.
He said the Indian military is making steady and significant progress in the area of emerging technologies.
The Army Chief of Staff, General MM Naravane, visited the facility during his recent visit to Mhow.
“The Indian military has also established an artificial intelligence (AI) center in the same institution with more than 140 deployments in advanced areas and active support from industry and academia,” the ministry said in a statement. communicated.
“Cyber warfare training is delivered through a range of state-of-the-art cybersecurity and cybersecurity labs,” he said.
The ministry said the research undertaken by the military in the area of quantum technology will help it move to the next generation of communication and transform the current system of cryptography into post-quantum cryptography.
