BJP criticizes Ajit Pawar for creating artificial water shortage in Pimpri-Chinchwad – Punekar News

Pimpri Chinchwad, 5th June 2022: BJP has slammed Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar for creating artificial water scarcity in the city along with Administrator Rajesh Patil.

The BJP slammed Pawar, saying the NCP policy continues with the municipal elections in mind.

Pawar was on tour in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Friday. This time, he criticized the BJP in various places. He mocked the BJP leaders for not providing a daily water supply, to which the BJP responded. BJP spokesperson Eknath Pawar released a statement in this regard.

Eknath Pawar said, “The NCP has been in power for 15 years showing the hope of providing water 24 hours a day. However, the promise of water has not been fulfilled. At present, artificial water scarcity is being created in the city under PCMC administrator Rajesh Patil and the BJP is blamed for it. BJP has brought water from the Andra dam for the past five years. If this water becomes available, the whole city’s water problem will be solved. Immediately after the elections, Ajit Pawar began to address the problems of Pimpri-Chinchwad. He promised to provide water to citizens every day.

Eknath Pawar added that over the past five years, the BJP has transformed the city. While BJP has done development work, Ajit Pawar is taking the first step and ushering in this development work. Basically, Ajit Pawar was unable to solve the city’s water problem. When the NCP had been in power for fifteen years in the PCMC, the water problem could have been solved directly from the Pavana dam thanks to a closed pipeline.
