Awiros, the one-of-a-kind operating system (OS) and market for AI-based video intelligence solutions will provide advanced video analytics for high-resolution surveillance cameras for the Bengaluru Safe City project. The project to enhance law and order for Bengaluru citizens, especially women, in the city is implemented under the Bengaluru City Police (BCP). Bengaluru is one of eight cities in India which has been chosen by the Ministry of Home Affairs to create a safe, secure and empowering environment for women and girls in public places and is supported by the Nirbhaya initiative of the central government. Honeywell Automation India is the Master Systems Integrator (MSI) of the Bengaluru project.
Awiros’ AI-based video intelligence platform, facial recognition system, automatic license plate recognition and other video AI applications will enable video stream analysis of more of 7000 cameras spread over more than 3000 locations in the city of Bengaluru. The video analysis system provided by Awiros will process and analyze video streams and identify persons and vehicles of interest in accordance with city police requirements. This will enable the Bengaluru City Police to undertake real-time situation monitoring and analysis, and take timely action against any potential crimes committed by offenders for the safety of citizens, especially women and children.
