AIA Korea showed corporate citizenship with its latest donation to the CSR campaign “Dream Again”, which supports amputees who have lost a limb due to illness or accident.

AIA Korea held a “Dream Giving Again Ceremony” on June 10 at Bloomvista in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony brought together 180 senior planners from the AIA’s Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT), who donated a total of 20 million won to the Community Chest of Korea (“Fruit of Love”). This donation will be used to support amputees.

AIA Korea launched the “Dream Again” campaign in 2017, with the aim of helping amputees regain their motor skills and mental health during their rehabilitation journey. MDRT members have actively supported amputees by collecting annual contributions to fulfill their corporate responsibility.

Since 2017, the company has raised a total of 350 million won and provided artificial legs to 33 amputees. These amputees include archery, ice hockey and dance athletes, as well as a disability awareness instructor, special school teachers and students.

“AIA Korea’s senior planners spend most of their time listening and advising customers to help them live healthier, longer and better (HLBL) lives. That’s our job,” Jung Seong said. -sook, Chairman of AIA Korea MDRT “However, through the ‘Dream Again’ campaign, we are helping to reach HLBL in other ways by helping to raise awareness and empathy for amputees.”

“We deeply appreciate AIA Korea and its MDRT members for being so considerate to amputees since 2017,” said Shin Hye-young, General Office of Fruit of Love. “I would like to ask for warm and consistent attention from people of all social strata so that the vulnerable neighbors of our society have the opportunity to heal and recover their body and spirit.”

AIA Korea’s master planners also participate in the Group’s ESG approach through various campaigns. The company launched the “HLBL (Healthier, Longer, Better Lives) Forest Project” in April 2022, as part of its efforts to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and has planted 2,000 trees in the Anyangcheon area. AIA Korea donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea to support this project, and senior planners, alongside managers and employees, contributed to the reforestation of Anyangcheon.

Additionally, AIA Korea donated a total of 1.23 billion won to children with leukemia and other cancers. This contribution was made through the Share Your Dream Fund, which provides medical expenses and scholarships in partnership with the Korean Association of Children with Leukemia and Cancer.
